Sào Soulez Larivière started to play the violin when he was three and from 2003 to 2005 was a student of Igor Volochin in Parisa.  At eight, he was accepted as a student of Natasha Boyarsky at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Cobham, UK, and  changed to viola at the beginning of 2016.

Sào has taken part in masterclasses with Zakhar Bron, Zwi Zeitlin and Krzysztov Wegrzyn (violin) and Tabea Zimmermann, Jean Sulem and Alexander Zemtsov (viola) and has participated in summer courses including Cervo Sommerakademie, Academie de Musique Tibor Varga Sion, and the Hindemith Music Centre in Blonay.

When not playing playing solo, Sào  enjoys both chamber ensembles and orchestral playing. He has given concerts in the U.K. and  continental Europe, occasionally with his sister Cosima, a violinist.  In May 2016, Sào won first prize in the viola section, and second in the Presidents’ Prize in the North London Music Festival.
