Imogen Royce has been playing the flute since the age of 9. With a passion for orchestral music, Imogen has been the principal flute of the Halle Youth Orchestra and joint principal flute of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

For 4 years, Imogen studied at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music with Linda Verrier and Noemi Gyori, and in 2014, made her concerto debut playing Mozart’s Flute Concerto in G with the Lancashire Chamber Orchestra.

Imogen is a Royal College of Music Scholar supported by a Herbert Howells and Thomas Fielder Award, and studies there with Sue Thomas and Gitte Marcusson.

Recently, Imogen enjoyed playing at the Last Night of the Proms as a member of the BBC Proms Youth Ensemble with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
